Good God, what is going on in this country?
Yesterday, Pelosi and her goons gave "payback" to organized labor in the form of "easing workplace organization rules."
Uh huh.
Let's call this what it is, ok?
This bill is nothing other than a straight-line violation of your right to a secret ballot in matters of your employment, thereby allowing you to be coerced and even threatened if you don't vote the "right" way!House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said the bill was "the most important labor law reform legislation of this generation." "It is about basic labor rights, about the rule of the majority free from intimidation and about protecting jobs," she said.
REALLY?
Why, you'd think that this bill would be one which would
introduce a secret ballot in union election decisions, where at present, you've got business (or union) goons standing over your back watching how you vote and "persuading" you to check the correct box.
You'd be wrong.
In fact,
this bill GETS RID of the Secret Ballot, and replaces it with a bare requirement that a majority of workers sign a "card check" - in other words, as soon as a majority of workers sign a statement saying they want a union, everyone in the place gets one.As the law stands
now, you get a secret ballot.
Somehow, Pelosi-Cum-Hitler thinks that its better to have people tell you how to vote, and be able to coerce you into voting the "right way!"
Gee, you think she'll try to have "poll coaches" and "signed ballots" next for national elections?
Given this record - and this bill - I wouldn't put it past her.
This is a pretty clear indication of what Pelosi and company stand for, don't 'ya think?
