Amnesty. Here we go again.
This is incredibly annoying to see – the pandering of our Representatives and Senators to try to “create” new voters out of whole cloth.
The idea that we should put lawbreakers ahead of the line of others who are trying to get into this country legally is disgusting. It simply must stop.
It appears that the Senate has failed in a key vote to pass their version of “Illegal Amnesty 2006”. Good. Now Gentlemen, go back to the drawing board and rip out the provisions that offend.
That’d be the ones that allow people here now to stay without having to go back to their original nations and
apply for entry like everyone else!
Do you really think that if some American went down to Mexico and squatted there they’d get amnesty? No. They’d be thrown in prison and be lucky to ever get out. And it wouldn’t be some cushy American prison either – it’d be a stinking hellhole that these nations are notorious for running.
We, the people, are tired of this pandering and crap. Get your heads out of your collective asses and pass a real immigration bill with real teeth.
Yeah, I know, there are 11 million illegal immigrants here who are threatening to go out on a work strike. Good! That’ll make it easy to identify who they are and toss ‘em out of the country – which is exactly what
should happen.
Do we need “guest workers”? If they’re law-abiding citizens, yes. But by crossing the border illegally they’ve demonstrated that they are not. Once you decide that you will break laws because it brings you advantage, then it is only a matter of degree – you’ve declared yourself to have no respect for this nation or its system of laws and government.
We also need laws that set forth
severe punishments for those businesses who hire illegal workers and especially those who pay them under the table, as
most of these workers are. We
must insist that the government
and private credit agencies stop the practice of creating “shadow files” for un-issued or duplicate Social Security Numbers. If a duplicate or un-issued number is reported to be earning “wages”,
both employers should get a visit from the INS the next morning, and one of those guys or gals should be on a plane – or boat – home the next day. Private credit-reporting agencies must be
mandated to report such “duplicates” as well to the INS and FBI under penalty of prosecution, as
theft of identity is a criminal offense and these organizations are accessories both before and after the fact,Be warned Representatives and Senators – the public is watching your votes, and there’s an election this November. Many citizens will vote this coming November not based on our usual patterns but on whether you stand up for the rights of Americans instead of trying to buy the votes of lawbreakers.
