Impeachment is not about Clinton, Lincoln, or any other president. Some previous impeachment attempts were considered a waste of time because they were pursued for things that didn't rise to the level of a Constitutional crisis (Which is what the Impeachment tool is mean to be used for). The argument that we can't impeach Bush because there are previous presidents who also did bad things is the same as the argument from your child that you shouldn't punish him because the neighbor's kid did the same thing and didn't get punished. We don't want a presidential rush to the lowest common denominator. We have a duty to hold THIS president to the Constitution. Remember this, it is those who believe themselves guilty that proclame oversight as being partisan activity.Sometimes reprimanding a child (President) doesn't make the family (Washington) a happy place. But you still have to do it so the child and his siblings (future presidents) learns about accountability. Holding government officials accountable for their actions strengthens our democracy. Letting lawlessness stand weakens it.Impeach Bush Yourself...

No, silly, the argument is that impeaching the President is not called for because there are no high crimes or misdemeanors involved here. You can't impeach a President because you disagree with him. You have to find some violation of the Constitution upon which to base your action. What is it?Its not going to war - he was authorized to do so by the Congress. It is not "warrantless wiretaps" - non-Citizens are not entitled to the protection of the Constitution. Ditto on "enemy combatants", who, according to the Geneva Conventions on war, are entitled to be shot on sight as spies (since they wear no uniform.)Arguably, Clinton did get there in that regard - he committed a felony, specifically, lying under oath (perjury.) He was forced to forfeit his law license and right to practice before the Supreme Court by doing so. They were "unindicted co-conspirators" in the Whitewater land deal, and several of those people went to prison for felonies as well. But the American People said "no, that's not enough."Ok. But if that is not enough, then disagreeing with the President's policy as ratified by the Congress most certainly doesn't get there.Your silly leftwingbat thought process is how the Democrats are going to end up having their power taken away from them in another two years. This sort of stupidity is not how you win elections, nor how you govern.Wake up and show us a path forward, or end up like the Whigs!
